Very nice insight into how Lois and Richard got together.  You did a wonderful job of using the prompt as the theme of the story.  I have noticed that many merely use the word somewhere in the story.

I really enjoyed the first image of Lois giving Steve Lombard a hard time. I think perhaps he is one of those 'self important men' who simply never learn.

This is pretty much the way I see the relationship between Lois and Richard evolving.  He came at just the right time and did just the right things and was the perfect 'human' counterpoint to losing Superman.

I was surprised that you named Jason White though.  I have always felt his name would have been Lane at Lois' insistence, don't remember if the book cleared that up or not, I think they didn't address the name.

Anyway very nice story.  It seems like it could be a prequel to your Shadows Series.

In the film titles, Jason is Jason White.

And yes, this is in my Shadows timeline. In Shadows, Richard knew he wasn't Jason's biological father but Lois never told him who it was, but it was Richard's name on the birth certificate.
