Wow, my old VGA monitor blows out for a few days (not to worry, I literally just got done replacing it with a new flat-screen HP w1907  LCD screen) and we get this gem!

And thanks for proving that Richard really IS a great guy.

Yes! Now that they've got Luthor they're going after the slimeball that got him out of jail in the first place. Also, I'm glad Richard finally figured it all out and was a good sport about it- and he suggested Lois and Clark elope! Aww.. I wonder what would have happened if they were engaged at the Planet.. poor Richard Sad

When a guy faces such an unpleasant undeniable truth (i.e., the CLois OTP), he has two choices:  Bow out with dignity, or prove to the ex that she was right to choose someone else over him by getting possessive and being a jerk.  The latter choice doesn't accomplish anything

It's also tough immediately after the breakup, and any reminder of the failed romance is a punch in the gut.  The last thing you need under those circumstances is all of you coworkers celebrating your ex's engagement to someone else.  It'll be easier on Richard if they just elope and stay under the radar.

Thanks for the comments everyone.  Now, if I can just get one more of these out, we'll be done.  For some reason, the last chapters are always the toughest for me...  Maybe a part of me just doesn't want it to end.  Whatever the case, I'll try to get the final chapter out soon.

What a great treat to get after returning from vacation.  I enjoyed Bruce being in the fic.  Also, I thought Richard was very gracious in bowing out and him telling Lois to adopt kara was great.  I really hate it that this fic is coming to an end...But I can't wait to read the next part. Wink

First time I've hit the site in a while, enjoying the story a lot - a couple of the earlier chapters are missing though - sorry, I didn't make notes but I think 8, 10, and 20. Managed to find it on fanfiction.net anyway so no harm done.

Thanks for pointing that out - I've reported the problem to our Librarian.  We'll get those missing chapters back in place one way or another.  Glad you were still able to find the chapters elsewhere.
