I'm just starting this thread because I think someone at least is going to comment on Lois' behaviour in this chapter and I'd like to say that's the whole point; Lois isn't perfect and she's starting to crack (those pregnancy hormones aren't helping either).

Also, I can't seem to get on the Planet to post, is it down or is it just my computer?

It's been down for almost 72 hours, by my count, but it's back up now.

This was a good bit here, but I have to say, it seems less like a chapter 7, and more like a part 2 of chapter 6. But that's just me, different writers break chapters up in different ways and different styles.

I thought that too when I posted it (actually I thought it was a bit more part 1 of chapter 8). But I've had it like that for about a week and I just couldn't write anything more on it so I posted it as is. It did feel a good place to leave for me anyway, like you said, everyone's different.

Very interesting how Skye's early invulnerability came about, and now of all times. Good part with Lois' stress getting the better of her, very plausible in such a huge situation. I look forward to the next chapter! Smiley

Nice update.  I agree with the Clue a bit of foreshadowing.   Roll Eyes

I did have a hard time accepting they would let Skye run around with those sissors. twirling it on her finger.  Huh  Maybe she is invulnerable but the people around here aren't.  She could have hurt them plus what would people think seeing her with them esp all bent?

Thanks, I'm really glad no one got too upset with that, I've seen it happen before but I thought it was realistic in such a situation. Thanks again for reviewing!

According to the comics (John Byrne's The Man Of Steel mini), that was actually the first of Clark's powers to kick in naturally, when one of "old man Larson's" (if I'm remembering the name right) prize bulls got loose and trampled Clark, who was somewhere between 5 & 7 at the time.

The strength was gradual, his X-ray vision kicked in around 15 (lucky kid!), and flight was last, somewhere around 17 (although SR retconned that to 14 or so.)

I read and reviewed on FFN but just wanted to say I'm really liking this fic! I am thinking that Skye is going to be the key here and I really hope Clark and Jason get better soon!
