As usual, you've put a fascinating spin on things - though I'd be a bit nervous leaving a crystal with Luthor, even if it is set to read-only.  And what was Clark thinking, showing up as Clark but expressing his Superman persona.... Oy!  Probably not thinking that far ahead - him or Lois.

The family reunion there was great, with Martha maternal to Lois, too.  Big surprise coming from me, huh?  Wink

In any case, I think I can kind of see where you're going with this, though I'm also certain you'll surprise me.  I look forward to finding out how that plays out.

Actually, I was harkening back to one of the shots in SR that never made it. Clark has put the Suit on for the first time so he can go rescue the 777 and sees his reflection - he's in the Suit, wearing the glasses. His expression seems to be: 'Oh this is soooo bad.'

Great read, but one thing DOES make me go "Huh?"  Huh

Does Clark/Kal El/Superman not remember saving Lois' life/undoing her death during Luthor's missile-strike/earthquake by "doing the Time Warp"?

In the original Donner/Mankiewicz script Superman saves Lois from being crushed in the car without using time travel. The time travel sequence is placed after Zod's attack on Earth.

My own take on the whole Zod incident is that Clark would never have left the planet if he had any memories of Zod (I mean, look at the lengths Beeto has had to go through to give Clark a good excuse for leaving?)

Therefore Zod never happened.

Ah, that's what was throwing me, he was going by the scripts, not the actual films, then. Okay.
